I graduated from Francis Howell High School in Weldon Springs, Missouri. I went on to attend the University of Missouri-Rolla. Following a year at the university, I enlisted in the United States Air Force and served in Berlin, Germany. After my discharge, I remained in Germany for 17 years. I was employed by Robert Bosch GMBH as a two-way radio repairman and later was promoted to research and development. I became fluent in the German language. This enabled me to return to school and become an Electronics Engineer. After Robert Bosch I worked for a company repairing Catscans & MRI's. In 1997, I returned to the United States and studied to be a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer as I had always been interested in computers. However, I decided computers were great as a hobby but not as a career, at least not for me.

I joke about it now but I feel that most people get into insurance for one of two reasons, inspiration or desperation. I started out of desperation; it was suppose to be a short term solution until I found something better. Come to find out I love it and I'm good at it, who knew? So needless to say it didn't take me long to decide to make a career out of it.

I started FOCUS INSURANCE GROUP, INC. so I could focus on my customers needs. In order to do that, I needed to have access to the very best carriers so I contracted with virtually all of them.
